Fellow- Advanced Practice Provider

The Norton Thoracic Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center (Phoenix, AZ) is starting an Advanced Practice Practitioner (APP) Fellowship program and is looking for one or two inaugural candidates. This fellowship, while new, has been thoughtfully designed and structured to provide a rewarding experience and includes one-on-one support, mentoring and outstanding training for the individual(s). The Norton Thoracic Institute APP Fellowship is a one-year program beginning Sept/Oct 2024.

The APP Fellowship offers an intensive, comprehensive one-year post-graduate opportunity for an early career APP to join one of the nation’s leading advanced pulmonary and lung transplant groups. The ideal APP candidate will be a recent graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program or someone looking to change specialties. We are particularly interested in finding someone who has a strong desire to learn, to build clinical experience and confidence in the areas of advanced lung disease, pulmonary critical care and lung transplant and is willing to help shape the future of our APP Fellowship program.

Qualifications:
• Graduate from a Physician Assistant, Acute Care or Family Nurse Practitioner program
• Eligible to take the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA) certification exam or National FNP, ACNP, AGACNP or AGPCNP
• Eligible for an Arizona license
• Excellent critical thinking skills
• Exceptional team collaboration and communication skills
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and become a top tier provider in the specialty
