Ann Hefel is a board certified family nurse practitioner located in Denver, Colorado. She began her career at National Jewish Health starting out as a staff nurse in the Pulmonary Department. After completing her FNP program she transitioned to a nurse practitioner and practice management role in Asthma, Allergy & Immunology. Since 2017 she has been employed as a pulmonary nurse practitioner who specializes in airways disease and sleep medicine at Kaiser Permanente in the Denver Metro Area.
Ann has a Masters of Science and a Health Information Management and Exchange Specialist Certificate from the University of Colorado. She has past involvement in an Asthma and COPD Toolkit project in Colorado, providing education to primary care clinicians on the diagnosis and management of asthma and COPD. She has expertise in ambulatory care quality and process improvement, with a focus on working with specialty interdisciplinary teams. She enjoys taking on APP students in her practice for clinical rotations.
