Point of care ultrasound is a powerful tool for managing patients presenting with acute hypoxic respiratory failure as well as chronic pulmonary and pleural disease. This course is designed to demonstrate the diagnostic power of point of care ultrasound, enable the learner to obtain needed images and to interpret and apply normal and abnormal images to patient presentations. We will demonstrate an Ultrasound guided approach to assessment of respiratory failure as well as evaluation and management of complex pleural disease.
