Prisma Health Outpatient Pulmonary Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Fellow
The Outpatient Pulmonary APP Fellow is a post-graduate training position designed for Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants seeking advanced clinical experience in pulmonary medicine. Under the supervision of board-certified pulmonologists and Pulmonary APP’, the fellow provides comprehensive outpatient care for patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions while developing specialty-specific clinical skills.Responsibilities include conducting patient evaluations, managing conditions such as asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, PH, pulmonary nodules, and sleep-related disorders, interpreting diagnostic tests (PFTs, imaging), and participating in multidisciplinary care. The fellow engages in structured education, case-based learning, and quality improvement to support professional growth and transition to independent specialty practice.
Fellowship position for new graduate that has successfully passed the Nurse Practioner or Physician Assistant certification process and is seeking dedicated clinical training within a specific field. This position follows current “scope of practice” for all other Advanced Practice Providers within the Department. Position provides primary health care and performs selective medical services under the direction of Practice physicians.
