MeHAF Grant May 2022- December 2024
MaineHealth in collaboration with the Maine Access Immigrant Network (MAIN) and the Data Innovation Project (DIP) at the University of Southern Maine have been funded for a 2-year Maine Health Access Foundation (MeHAF) Systems Improvement and Innovation Responsive Grant (SIIRG).
This project will pilot a strategic initiative to increase MaineHealth pediatric provider understanding of and engagement with immigrant, refugee, and asylee families around developmental screenings and well-child visits. The partnership between MaineHealth and the Maine Access Immigrant Network’s Community Health Workers will provide provider education, shift practices around introducing and conducting developmental screenings with families, and offer targeted, culturally responsive support to families through print material and individual outreach.
