Announcing 2026 APAPP Awards

We are excited to announce that for the first time ever, we are giving awards at the National APAPP Conference in Las Vegas, June 18-20. 

Please use THIS FORM to nominate an outstanding Pulmonary Advanced Practice Provider by 4/1/26 for the following awards: 

  1. APAPP Provider of the Year: APAPP Provider of the Year is awarded to a Pulmonary Advanced Practice Provider who consistently demonstrates clinical mastery, leadership, and a commitment to patient-centered care. This individual serves as a role model for the profession, balancing the complexities of lung disease management with compassion and evidence-based practice.
    • Criteria:
      • Exhibits exceptional clinical acumen in treating complex pulmonary conditions.
      • Actively contributes to the improvement of clinical workflows or patient outcomes.
      • Demonstrates unwavering professionalism and collaborates seamlessly with the multidisciplinary care team.
      • Applies evidence-based practice to enhance patient care delivery. 
  1. APAPP Rising Star: The Rising Star Award recognizes a Pulmonary APP who has shown extraordinary dedication, growth, and promise within the APAPP organization. This individual has made significant contributions to the organization and exemplifies leadership potential.  
    • Criteria:

 

      • Demonstrates rapid evolution in contributions within APAPP
      • Shows a proactive approach to advocacy of pulmonary APPs and the mission of APAPP.
      • Maintains a positive attitude and a high level of engagement in organization and team initiatives.
  1. APAPP Mentor of the Year: This award honors an APP who goes above and beyond to invest in the professional development of others. Whether guiding a new hire through the nuances of PFT interpretation or providing emotional support in a high-stress ICU or clinic setting, the Mentor of the Year is dedicated to fostering the next generation of pulmonary experts.
    • Criteria:
      • Provides exceptional guidance, patience, and clinical pearls to students, new graduates, or peers.
      • Cultivates a culture of continuous learning and psychological safety within the team.
      • Generously shares knowledge to improve the overall standard of care provided by the APP group.
