New Critical Care Committee Co-Chairs

We are pleased to announce the new Critical Care Committee Co-Chairs, Molly Verderame and Vinny DeRienzo.

Molly Verderame

Molly Verderame is a physician assistant with over six years of critical care experience. In that time, she has built her career around education, mentorship, and advancing evidence-based practice. She has served as faculty at the Sacred Heart University, Physician Associate program, and is currently faculty at UMASS Chan Medical School – Lahey. She is actively involved in clinical research, serving as a Primary Investigator at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center as part of the Pragmatic Critical Care Research Group (PCCRG). Additionally, her clinical interests include the management of the difficult airway and point-of-care ultrasound. When not working, she enjoys playing rugby, scuba diving, and traveling.

Vinny DeRienzo

Vinny DeRienzo is a senior physician assistant in the medical ICU at Strong Memorial Hospital. He serves as the co-Director of the APP Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at URMC and holds adjunct faculty positions at Nazareth, Clarkson, and Daemen universities. He coordinates the Critical Care journal club for the Association of Pulmonary Advanced Practice Providers, a fellow, section, and editorial board member of the American College of Chest Physicians, a certified critical care APP, and President-Elect of the Rochester Regional PA Association. In his free time he enjoys reading, skiing, golfing, and spending time with his family on the shores of Lake Ontario.
